Jimmie studied Nutrition and Food Science at Utah State University, receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree. During this time, he also received a commission as an Army officer through the USU ROTC program and played on the USU basketball team for two years where the team was nationally ranked in the top 25 and played in both the National Invitational Tournament (NIT) and the NCAA Basketball Tournament. He then enrolled at King’s College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, earning his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies and becoming a National Board-Certified Physician Assistant.
