David Black began his medical career in 2002 and worked as a paramedic for 8 years on a ground ambulance and 5 years as a flight paramedic. After graduating as a registered nurse in 2015, he began working as a staff nurse in a high-volume Level 1 trauma center. It was in this environment that he advanced in leadership roles ultimately taking on the responsibility of the Director of Nursing over the Emergency Department. David arrived at Three Rivers in November of 2022 as a bedside nurse and now oversees the nursing component of the Hospital and Emergency Department. His goal in healthcare is to foster an environment that provides excellent medical care while ensuring that patients and their families feel cared for and about in a way that leaves a lasting impact.
